Tropical Trips Jamaica Booking Terms and Conditions
The purchase of any travel services (hereafter called 'trip', tour’, 'excursion', 'product', 'trips', ‘adventures’) offered by Tropical Trips Jamaica (hereafter 'we', 'our', 'us', 'TTJ', 'the club', ‘Tropical Video Tours’) constitutes a contractual agreement between you (hereafter 'you', 'your', 'yours', 'client', 'traveler', 'clients', 'travelers', 'their') and Tropical Video Tours and represents your acceptance of Tropical Video Tours' Terms and Conditions set out herein and, for any tours done in conjunction with the Tropical Trips Jamaica. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge that you have carefully read and fully understand all the appropriate Terms and Conditions contained herein prior to booking.
Product Validation, Modifications, and Amendments
Validation
These terms and conditions refer to all trips offered by Tropical Trips Jamaica, these terms and conditions supersede and replace any previously published Terms and Conditions whether oral, posted on our website or published in any fashion or manner. All published information is accurate to the best of our knowledge, if however there are any changes or errors, which can and do occur before and during excursion, we will make every effort to keep you informed of any changes, but we cannot be held liable for changes in itinerary as a result. Please refer to our website for the most recent publication and prices of our tours.
We use independent sales people who offer tour packages and deals as advertised on tropicaltripsjamaica.com website. If at any time there are deviations from product offered on our website, TTJ will not honor or be held responsible unless consent is given in writing and authorized by the Manager of Tropical Trips Jamaica.
To request a booking, Tropical trips Jamaica requires a completed booking form for all travellers along with a deposit of 50% of trip cost (unless stated otherwise on trip). Payments are to be made within 3-7 days of booking via wire transfer or otherwise stated on trip. Please note that payments made by check will not be confirmed until Bank clears check into TTJ’s account.
Upon confirmation of payment, we will email you a guaranteed departure confirmation. You should not book any of your international flights or personal travel arrangements until you receive this written guaranteed departure confirmation from us.
Note: For private tours, day tours and volunteer trips, we will notify you as soon as possible via phone or email if your departure date is available. Should there be a change as a result of an unavailable date for your particular tour or trip, you will also be notified and possible dates recommended. If you should wish to cancel or change reservation because of date, you are required to respond to our email within 48 hours. We reserve the right to cancel reservation after this 48 hours and all cancellation as outlined in this policy will apply. If you do choose to cancel within 48 hours of receiving our initial notification, all deposits will be returned in full.
As soon as we send you a confirmation, your trip is considered confirmed and therefore all cancellation fees will be in effect.
Airfare and Personal Travel Expenses are not included in our trip costs. You should not book any of your international flights or personal travel arrangements until you receive this written guaranteed departure confirmation from us.
Amendments
Any changes in booking will be facilitated by Tropical Trips Jamaica as best as possible and in keeping with these terms and conditions. Surcharges may apply.

Price Does NOT Include:
- Airfare to Jamaica
- Airport & departure taxes
- Meals not indicated in the itinerary
- All beverages unless stated otherwise in the itinerary
- Travel insurance (mandatory)
- Optional adventures, if any
- Personal expenses
- Tips
- Transportation not specifically mentioned
- Acquisition of all necessary Visas and Passports and all associated fees
- Anything else not specifically mentioned as included in the itinerary
Tropical Trips Jamaica trips are priced based on double occupancy and in some locations dorm style indicated on the itinerary. Single rooms are optional and come with an extra cost, please note that a single room cannot always be guaranteed.
Tropical Video Tours reserves all rights to videos and photos taken while on TTJ’s adventures. You agree that we have full and unrestricted permission to use all photos and videos taken by you or anyone else with your camera or anyone else’s camera on our website, newsletters or any other marketing media at our discretion.
Visas & Passports
It is solely your responsibility to check the visa requirement, if any, for your country to Jamaica. It is also your responsibility to monitor any change in those requirements. Also, any cost associated with attaining a visa if required is solely your responsibility. Tropical Trips Jamaica will not be held responsible for any change in visa entry policies of any country.

Everyone travelling to Jamaica must present a passport or other form of valid and approved travel document as evidence of their identity and nationality. It is required that your passport be valid for at least 6 months beyond completion of your trip to be allowed entry into Jamaica. All cost associated with obtaining or renewing your passport is solely your responsibility.
Travel Insurance
Travel Insurance is a mandatory requirement for all travellers participating in any of our trips. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you agree that it is solely your responsibility to acquire the following coverage at minimum to cover the duration of your trip with Tropical Trips Jamaica.
- Medical Expenses: minimum $50,000
- Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation
Minimum policy must cover you for the duration of your trip. An additional sports and hazardous activities rider must be obtained for those participating in hiking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, ziplining, mountain biking, surfing, kayaking etc. Your insurance agent will have more details, kindly check details of policies and coverage.
We also recommend that each traveller purchase an insurance policy that covers anything that may affect your trip, these include cancellations, personal liability, curtailment, loss of baggage and personal effects, acts of God, weather, airline, government etc.
You acknowledge that it is solely your responsibility to obtain the proper coverage.
Medical Treatment
You agree to grant us or agents the full authority to seek medical treatment or remedy in case of medical or other emergency. Also, you agree that we, guides or agents are not qualified in any form of medical understanding, application, emergency care, or such and therefore fully agree to hold us harmless for any actions or inactions taken on our part in the pursuit of obtaining care.
You agree to make immediate repayment where cost is incurred as a result of any special expense. You also agree to inform us of medications, condition, ailment or injury that may affect participation in any activity.
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you agree that you have visited a travel doctor and obtained current recommendations on inoculation before you travel and also that you have obtained travel insurance as recommended within these terms and conditions.
Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations
All our trips require advance deposits of part or full payment upon booking to secure you a place on our trips. We encourage payment via wire transfer; upon booking a trip, details will be provided in the confirmation receipt. All prices are listed in USD and payments must be made in USD.
Please note:
- You are responsible for ensuring that the full amount as printed on your invoice is debited to our accounts as such you are required to pay all wire transfer fees.
- All deposits and payments are subject to the ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ section of these Terms and Conditions. All late payment attracts a $50US fee per invoice.
Deposits & Payments Schedules
To book a multi-day trip, Tropical Trips Jamaica requires a completed form along with a deposit of 50% of Trip cost per person. To request a booking that departs within 90 days, full payment is required at the time the booking is requested. All balances must be cleared no later than 90 days before trip departure. In the case of non-payment Tropical Trips Jamaica reserves the right to cancel the trip at their discretion at any time and subjected to the ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ section of these Terms and Conditions.
To book a day trip, Tropical Trips Jamaica requires payment of a minimum deposit outlined on each tour via paypal, credit card or wire transfer. In the case of wire transfer, kindly email or call us with the transfer details. For offline and credit/debit card payments, the payment details will be sent via email. A payment link will be provided, you simply go ahead & pay online. There will be a 4.2% +gct credit card fee; surcharge goes directly to the bank.
Children Policy
Infant under 2 years old is totally free of charge
Children 2 years to 12 years old pays 50% of tour price (per person) with two paying adults
*Some sightseeing or day tours might include expenses for infants, so extra charge might be applied.
Based on age at commencement of tour/vacation.
Early Bird Discount
Travellers who register before Early Bird Discount Date will get a discount for the trip. All of Tropical Trips Jamaica trips include an early bird discount. Any applicable discounts will be posted individually on the trip detail page of our website.
Member Discounts
All Tropical Trips Jamaica trips offer exclusive club member discounts based on your type of membership. You qualify by joining the club (signing up for a membership or) by joining a trip.
Coupons/Specials
Coupons give special discounts on specific trips to travellers who register for a trip. Coupons are not transferrable and can only be used once.
Group Discounts:
Some of Tropical Trips Jamaica trips include a group discount. Any applicable discounts will be posted individually on the trip detail page of our website and will detail the number of people required for a discount.
Cancellations and Refunds:
If you wish to cancel a booking with Tropical Trips Jamaica, please note that it can result in cancellation fees being applied by Tropical Trips Jamaica as outlined below. You will be notified via email or telephone of the total cancellation fees. We will attempt to process all refund requests within 28 days of receipt.
Cancellation Charges:
Group and Private Tours:
- If you cancel at least 91 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a $500 cancellation fee.
- If you cancel between 60 and 90 days prior to scheduled departure, there is a 50% cancellation fee
- If you cancel within 59 days prior to scheduled departure, there is a 100% cancellation fee.
Day Tours:
- Full refund up to 7-days prior to scheduled departure, with the exception of fees.
- 50% refund up until 3-days prior to scheduled departure, with the exception of fees.
- Groups of 5 or more people
- Full refund up to 14-days prior to scheduled departure, with the exception of fees.
- 50% refund up until 7-days prior to scheduled departure, with the exception of fees.
NOTE: No refunds are available once a trip has commenced or in respect to registration fees (where applicable), accommodation, meals, transport or any other services utilized. The same applies if you leave a trip or cannot fully participate in a trip due to injury or illness. Refunds will be at the complete discretion of Tropical Trips Jamaica if you are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Limitations on Tropical Trips Jamaica' Responsibility:
Tropical Trips Jamaica and its affiliates, owners, officers, agents, contractors and subcontractors (hereafter in this paragraph 'Tropical Trips Jamaica') purchase transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurant services and other services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to its control. Neither Tropical Trips Jamaica nor any associated organization, agent, employee, advisor, contractor or subcontractor shall be held liable for any act, default, injury (including death), loss, expense, damage, deviation, delay, curtailment or inconvenience caused to or suffered by any person or their property, howsoever arising, which may occur or be incurred by any organization or person, even though such act, default, injury, loss, expense, damage, deviation, delay, curtailment or inconvenience may have been caused or contributed to: (a) by the act, neglect or default of Tropical Trips Jamaica' owners, officers, agents, managers, supervisors, employees, advisors, contractors and subcontractors, or of any person for whose act it would otherwise be responsible, or (b) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment or instrumentality under the control of independent suppliers. In addition, Tropical Trips Jamaica cannot and will not be liable in any way for delays in departure, cancellation, alterations or interruption of your vacation arrangements caused by weather conditions, technical problems of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other transportation, equipment or instrumentality, strikes, war, terrorist activity, civil commotion, acts of God, or any causes beyond the control of Tropical Trips Jamaica. Furthermore, we or our agents reserve the right to cancel or alter any trip or component of the trip, before or during the trip, as we deem necessary or appropriate. In all cases where we choose to cancel or alter the trip, we or our agents are not financially liable and are under no obligation to issue refunds of any kind except as noted in the Cancellations & Refunds section of these Terms and Conditions. Should we choose to issue refunds, it is done solely in good faith. In all cases, refunds cannot and will not exceed any amount that results in a financial detriment to Tropical Trips Jamaica. In no event will Tropical Trips Jamaica be responsible for incidental, consequential or special damage or loss suffered by any person. In issuing tickets and coupons for transportation to the purchaser by any means and making arrangements for hotel or other accommodation, Tropical Trips Jamaica is not acting as principal but only as agent for the companies, corporations or person providing or offering the means of transportation and accommodations. To the extent Tropical Trips Jamaica shall not be acting as an agent, as stated above, it shall be deemed to be acting as an agent of the purchasers in arranging or booking transportation and accommodation. Tropical Trips Jamaica reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and from time to time without any prior notice. In the event that Tropical Trips Jamaica is ruled liable, Tropical Trips Jamaica' maximum liability, for any reason whatsoever, will be limited to the amount paid to Tropical Trips Jamaica for its services.
Other Important Information:
These Terms and Conditions are always the final and ultimate rules and supersede any other communication from us or our agents. Tropical Trips Jamaica reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and from time to time without any prior notice.
